Holding CSG opened in Kosice a training center for pilots of helicopters

On basis of the cooperation of members of the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP (CSG), namely EUROPEAN AIR SERVICES and the Slovak MSM Group, a training center for helicopter pilots - Slovak Training Academy (STA) was opened in Košice, in Slovakia. The ceremonial opening of the centre built for $ 25 million was held on Monday 30 October 2017 in the presence of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and owner of CSG Holding Jaroslav Strnad.

„ It is an incredible story of the revival of armament and aviation production in Slovakia. It is an important project and the government of the Slovak Republic is very interested in this area. Such investors have our support. Unlike many foreign investors who only use the work of our people, this company employs qualified and quality people with ideas," said the Prime Minister Robert Fico in the occasion of opening the center.

The new training centre should train more than 70 pilots a year. Courses are destined for both beginners without aviation experiences and for advanced pilots. The training capacities will be destined for Slovak pilots, but especially for foreign applicants.

"Our training centre cooperates with the Faculty of Aeronautics of Technical University of Košice. The Aviation has a long tradition in Košice, we will also use high-quality simulators for trainings. Trainings will be led by experienced pilots. It is the only one center in Slovakia and in its first phase we will employ thirty persons. Gradually, by us will work around hundred persons. We have built STA without the government's financial support, "said Marian Goga, Managing Director of the MSM Group.

The company Slovak Training Academy (STA) integrates modern air technology with the professionalism of pilots, flight instructors and technicians with more than 12 years of experience in providing air services in one complex. It provides comprehensive solutions including basic, advanced and special flight training of military and civilian personnel, aerial works as well as commercial air transport. There are 16 helicopters and a flight simulators at disposal in the centre. One of the types is also the American Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, which is the only one in the civilian version in Europe.
